EXHIBITION GUIDELINES FOR ARTISTS

  1. The artist must submit the completed loan and inventory forms, including insurance values at least two weeks prior to installation.
  2. Delivery and/or shipping of artwork to and from the Gallery must be arranged through the VSA arts of Georgia staff or representative at least two weeks prior to installation.
  3. All exhibited artwork and additional exhibition components must be approved by the Exhibition Curator in consultation with the Gallery Committee prior to installation.
  4. Exhibits are installed by Arts for All Gallery installers and/or the artists. Installation hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. ? 5 p.m. unless other arrangements are made with VSA arts of Georgia staff.
  5. To ensure that all artwork is exhibit ready:
    1. Artwork must be equipped for hanging on the permanently-installed Arakawa hanging system using the hooks & wires provided.
    2. Any method of hanging other than the Arakawa hanging system must receive prior approval from VSA arts of Georgia staff.
    3. No light fixtures may be attached to any painting, drawing or other works of art.
  6. Exhibition works may only be installed in the gallery space. Artwork may be hung in the windows or in the Gallery entrance door only with prior approval from the Executive Director
  7. Permanent exhibition items and the Gallery information table may not be removed from the Gallery without prior permission of VSA arts of Georgia staff.
  8. No property or tools owned by VSA arts of Georgia may be removed from Arts for All Gallery.
  9. Working with the installer, the artist is responsible for any additional pedestals, vitrines or exhibit equipment beyond the Gallery?s inventory.
  10. No artwork or exhibition component may be removed from an exhibition once installed without permission of the gallery staff and/or Executive Director.
  11. Arts for All Gallery retains a 50% commission of the purchase price for all art sold in the Gallery or sold as a direct result of the exhibition. Artists are urged to exhibit works that are available for sale, benefiting both the artist and the Gallery.
  12. In order to foster greater variety and diversity in the exhibitions shown in Arts for All Gallery and to provide as many opportunities as possible, artists may be only be considered for solo or two-person exhibitions every three years.
